Der Reaktive-Proaktive-Aggression-Fragebogen für die fünfte bis zehnte Klasse (RPA 5-10): Faktorenstruktur und psychometrische Eigenschaften
The Reactive-Proactive-Aggression-Questionnaire for 5-10 Graders (RPA 5-10): Factorial Structure and Psychometric Properties
2011, 319-329
Summary: An appropriate treatment of aggressive children and youth needs to consider specific subtypes. A meaningful differentiation exists between reactive and proactive aggression. In this study a newly developed questionnaire is presented, the Reactive-Proactive-Aggression-Question-naire for 5 – 10 Graders (RPA 5 – 10). In addition to reactive and proactive aggression the question-naire assesses different facets of the subtypes such as angry-aggression, defensive attribution of aggression, obtaining of resources and power/domination-aggression. This study refers to the factorial structure and the item- and scale-parameters, based on a sample of 10 – 18 year-old students (N = 347). The internal consistencies of the aggression-scales range between a = .72 and .83. Older children and youth compared to younger ones show higher rates of obtaining of resources, power/domination-aggression and angry-aggression. Boys compared to girls show higher rates of both reactive and proactive aggression.
